PAYNE - Billy Ward Payne, 57, of 6356 Pennant Dr., died suddenly Sunday at his residence. Mr. Payne was born in San Antonio, Texas, and had lived in Jacksonville since 1954. He was a member of the Methodist Church, was a retired Chief Petty Officer, USN, and was the owner operator of Marlon's Refrigeration Service. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marion K. Payne, Jacksonville and two sons, John Stephen Payne, U.S. Navy and Thomas Ward Payne, Jacksonville. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hardage & Sons Blanding Blvd. location.
