Loy, Dessie J. Blake, age 90 of Pike St., New Martinsville, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at New Martinsville Health Care Center.
She was born March 15, 1915 in Wetzel County, the daughter of the late Frank and Dora Buchner Blake.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Loy in 1984; her son-in-law: Don Postlethwait in 2003, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters: Love Postlethwait and Lena (Blaine) Morris all of New Martinsville; one brother: Albert Blake of New Martinsville; one sister: Rosetta Hassig of Canton, OH; her favorite sister-in-law: Marcella Blake of Paden City; four grandchildren: Kathy (Dave) Hoffman of New Martinsville, Marsha (Barry) Bland of Belleview, NE, David (Rhonda) Postlethwait of Baton Rouge, LA and Eric (Heather) Postlethwait of Herndon, VA and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, with Jeremy Joy officiating. Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
