CORTLAND – Mrs. Susie Morey, 27, of Tully RD 2 died late Saturday, May 27, 1961 at Cortland Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Cortland and was the daughter of Michael and Mary Williams Alexander.
She was married to Edward Morey of East Syracuse who survives. Mrs. Morey was a member of St Anthony’s Church of Cortland.
She is also survived by her parents and six brothers, Edward, Michael, Arthur, Anthony, and Joseph Alexander, all of Cortland, and Peter Alexander of Syracuse; three half-brothers, Johnnie and Henry Alexander, both of Cortland and Louis Alexander of Shushan, N. Y.; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Finch of Tully RD 2; Mrs. Rose Chaco and Mrs. Mary Carol Root Boty of Cortland and Mrs. Bertha Nelson of Greensboro, N. C., and by a half sister Mrs. Nellis Quatro of Cortland, also by 19 nieces and nephews.
Services are in charge of McEvoy Funeral Home, Cortland and will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Louis Finch, Tully RD 2, and at 9:30 a.m. at St Anthony’s Church, Cortland. Burial will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, Cortland.
Friends may call Monday and Tuesday afternoon and night at their convenience at the Louis Finch residence, Route 11, Tully RD 2.
