Louis Barbeau, 59 years old, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hubert Vahlkamp, 718 South Church Street, at 3:30 a.m., Saturday. He was born in Modoc, Ill. on April 16, 1865.
Surviving are his wife, nee Jennette Schwear and the following children: Mrs. Hubert Vahlkamp, Mrs. James Simpson of Alton; William Barbeau in Marissa and elmer Barbeau in St. Louis; also five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Ben Barbeau of Prairie du Rocher; Mrs. A. T. Pritz of Palmer, Ill.; Lee Barbeau, Mrs. Jacob Yung and James Barbeau, all of Belleville.
The funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m., Monday from the Vahlkamp home to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
