Services for Jared T. Williams, 74, Minnie’s Gap, were conducted Tuesday, April 20, at the Dutch John, Utah school. Garn Anderson officiated.
Burial was in the William’s family cemetery in Minnie’s Gap.
Garn Anderson, Monte Williams, Thane Larsen, James Ramsey, Jim Miller, Earl Moore, Lewis Sweet and Zander Radosevich served as pallbearers.
John Welder, Mike Steele, Perry Williams, Paul Jones, Larry Farr, David Keachie, Boyd Walker, Jep Richie, Norm Richie and Allen Pallesen served as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Williams died Friday, April 16, at his home in Minnie’s Gap of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Williams was born Sept. 12, 1907 in Big Sandy, the son of Henry W. and Maud C. Huff Williams.
He ranched all his life, and moved to Minnie’s Gap after the Flaming Gorge was turned into a reservoir. Mr. Williams lived with his brother, Paul Williams, and sister-in-law Eleen most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul in 1978.
Survivors include one brother, Bill Williams of Pinedale; four sisters, Mrs. Nels (Mable) Philbrick of Manila, Utah, Mrs. Ellen Richie of Boulder, Mrs. Jeanette Simkin of Rock Springs and Mrs. Alma Golliher of Riverton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eleen Williams of Minnie’s Gap; several nieces and nephews.
