Henrietta “Enriqueta” M. Valle went to be with the Lord on Jan. 4, 2008, at the age of 84. Henrietta was the last living matriarch of the Valle Family. As a social activist, she was a member of the C.O.P.S. organization, worked at the polls during elections and was a community volunteer extraordinaire. Henrietta was a faithful church member of St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church as well as a member and officer of the St. Phillip of Jesus Altar Society. She val ued education and believed in parents’ involvement in their children’s education and as such had a lifetime membership with the P.T.A.
Her support of education continued with her over 20 years of faithful part time employment with San Antonio College. She was devoted to her family and was an extraordinary role model for her daughters.
She was present for the birth of all her grandchildren and their graduation from high school and college. Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Adela Carrasco Moreno, beloved husband Agustin Valle, and sister Helen Perez. Henrietta is survived by her daughters: grandchildren: 15 great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews, and former sons in law: Albert Glen Gonzales and Richard Bernal Rodriguez.

Visitation begins Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at 6 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church located on 122 E. Lambert. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip of Jesus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery.
