William Henry Mannakee, a leading man of Montgomery county, died yesterday morning at his home at Kensington, in his seventy-fifth year. He had been in failing health a long while from a complication of troubles.

Surviving him are his widow, who was Miss Georgia[na] Knowles, whose father, the late George Knowles, was one of the largest land owners in the county, the property which is now the site of the town of Kensington being among his possessions; a son, Harry K. Mannakee, of Washington; and the following daughters: Mrs. Newman G. Little, of Washington; Miss Clara Mannakee, of Kensington, and Mrs. John A. Jones, of Illinois.

The funeral will take place at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Protestant Episcopal Church, Kensington.

Mr. Mannakee was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and for 45 years had resided at or near Kensington. For four years–1886-1889–he was a member of the County Commissioners for the county and for a number of years was an election official for Wheaton district. He was an ardent Democrat.
