William "Bill" Spatz, age 93, passed away on July 3, 2015 at the VNS Hospice in Fairlawn, Ohio. Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 14, 1922 to the late Dorothy and Joseph Spatz. He was a graduate of Brush High School and was proud of his military service in the US Army during WWII. In 1948 he married the love of his life, Jeanne (Whitlock) Spatz and was married for 62 years until her death on July 3, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Spatz and daughter Mary Ann (Spatz) Cook. Bill operated and owned Spatz Wholesale Floral in North Canton and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Parish, North Canton Elks, VFW and Canton American Legion. He is survived by his son Greg (Kim) Spatz of Pompano Beach, FL; daughter Wendy Spatz of Sagamore Hills; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter and his faithful dog and companion, Winkie who was always by his side. Bill wished to thank Drs. Steven Campbell and Stacey Jolly of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for their extraordinary care. The family would like to thank the VNS Hospice, Aultman Hospice for their care in the recent months and the Veteran's Administration. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Little Flower Catholic Parish 2040 Diamond St. NE North Canton, Ohio 44721 with Fr. Leo Wehrlin officiating. Family and friends may visit from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery with military honors.
