They settled in Niagra, North Dakota and his parents had three more children. Elmer, Hazel and George. By 1930, the family moved to Helena, MT. During that time, Iver worked for the American Smelting and Refining Co in East Helena.
On July 12, 1937 in Marysville, Montana. Iver Alfred Olsen married Catherine Helen Hartmiller. They eventually moved to Anaconda, MT and Iver went to work for the Anaconda Co. as a smeltermen. They had nine children Iver, Kenny, Gloria, Elvina, Wayne, Zelma, Sidney, Marylou, and Terry. They lived in Anaconda the remainder of their lives. Iver passed away December 12, 1971 and Catherine died in June 2,1996.
