Denton Franklin Elder, 71, of St. Marys, WV, passed away, May 24, 2006, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born, January 30, 1935, in Pleasants Co., WV a son of the late Roy William and Lennie Mae Bailey Elder.

He was retired from the former Colin Anderson Center, he enjoyed the outdoors, and he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Belle Parsons Elder, 4 daughters, Sandra Lee Dunn (Sonny) of Hundred, WV, Tammy Kay Wince (Darrell) of St. Marys, Karen Sue Thompson (Roy) of Sardis, OH, Linda Marie Barnhart (Charlie) of St. Marys, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents he is preceded by one brother, Carl Elder, sister, Ruby Virtue, and one nephew, James Elder.

Services will be held Friday, May 26, 2006 at 11 A. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with the Rev. George Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Elder Family Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
