Son of Albert Elder
Roy W. Elder, 82, of Rt. 2, St. Marys, died Thursday evening at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
He was born in Pleasants County, a son of the late Albert and Alice Bennett
Elder. He was a farmer and a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist
Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lennie Bailey Elder; two sons, Denton Elder and
Carl Elder, both of St. Marys; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Virtue of Colliers;
10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 3:30pm Sunday at the Ruttencutter Funeral Home in
St. Marys. Burial was in the Lamp Cemetery.
