LAST RITES FOR MRS. W. C. ABBOTT
Mrs. Elnora Abbott, 72, died last Wednesday in Peninsula General Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Willie C. Abbott, a waterman.

She is survived by five children: Mrs. Valiant Webster of Deal Island, Carlton Abbott of Baltimore, Mrs. Baker Webster of Deal Island, Reginald Abbott of Salisbury, and Mrs. George Walters of Deal Island. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Willie Robinson of Toddville.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Methodist church. The Rev. Lloyd Townsend officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Note: Elnora Abbott was born 18 Feb 1881 at Toddville, MD. She was the daughter of Oliver Robinson and Maggie Robins. Elnora died 20 Jan 1954 at Salisbury, MD. She was widowed at the time of death. Interment was in St. John's Church Cemetery. The informant was her daughter, Mrs. Charles Baker (Atha) Webster. She is buried next to her husband, Willie C. Abbott (4 Mar 1873-21 Dec 1950) and with their son, Ross Abbott. (MD Death Certificate)

This conflicts with Elnora's marriage record that gives her name as Nora Robertson, and the 1900 census record for Willie and Elnora Abbott that includes Margaret Robertson, mother, living in the household.
