Alfred J. Gilmore one of the city's well known and respected colored men died yesterday morning at his home. Alfred had been a resident of Leavenworth for many years. Nearly 40 years ago he was known to W.G. Bolman and for twenty seven years was the shipping clerk at C.L. Knapp & Co. He was 46 years of age and leaves a wife and no children. Gilmore was a master of St marys lodge No 10 , colored Masons. He was a grand officer of the grand commandery, and at one time a grand eminent high priest. He was a 32nd degree mason.
