Daniel Harness, driver, and a passenger, Milton James Lee, were killed instantly in a crash in Trivoli Township about 5½ miles southwest of Cramer.

Harness was born May 2, 1938 in Lincoln, a son of Irma Allsopp Harness. He had been laid off at Caterpiller where he was re-employed after military service.

He is survived by his mother; his step-father, Wendell F. Harness; his brothers, Gary, Steven, and Michael, all at home; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Allsopp of Avon Park, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gandy of Decatur.
