Obituary - Mrs. Fannie Cooke Smith, widow of Wilson Randolph Smith, died on Wednesday at her home on Middle Road, Bayport, where she has been spending the summers for about 60 years. Mrs. Smith was born in Brooklyn, 83 years ago. the daughter of the late Abram and Fannie Ross Cooke. She was ill a comparatively short time and until the past year or two was possessed of boundless energy. A smiling, friendly lady, Mrs. Smith had hosts of friends and was active in the social life of Bayport, Sayville and other south shore villages. She had been a hard worker in the Red Cross and was active in the Sayville Garden Club. Mrs. Smith leaves one daughter, Mrs. Edith I. McKee, a brother, Charles Cooke, and one sister, Miss Belle Gordon Cooke, all of Bayport, three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith is reposing at Raynor's Chapel until noon today and funeral services will be held at two o'clock this afternoon from St. Ann's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Joseph H. Bond officiating. Interment will be private.
