After an illness of almost a year, Mrs. Nora Alice Koontz, aged 46, wife of Thurman Koontz, died Wednesday afternoon at her home, 388 South Maple street. She had been ill since last November suffering from carcinoma of the liver.

Mrs. Koontz was a member of one of the best known families of the county. She was the daughter of B. F. and Ella Butcher Thrasher, deceased, who for many years resided in the Stanford neighborhood. She was a member of the Lincoln Street Church of Christ.

Survivors are the husband; two daughters, Leola and Martha Koontz; four brothers, Troy and John Thrasher, of this city, and Festus and Frank Thrasher, of this county, and six sisters ,Mrs. Sylvia Rumple, Bloomington, Mrs. Katherine Kuehn, Louisville, Mrs. W. C. Rogers, Indianapolis, Mrs. B. F. Rudolph, Burely, Idaho, Mrs. Elmer Rush, South Gate, Cal., and Mrs. Floyd Tremor, of Morristown.

Funeral services will be held at the Lincoln Street church at 2:30 p. m. Friday and will be in charge of Elders W. J. Whaley and A. W. Harvey. Burial will be in the Clear Creek cemetery and pallbearers will be Roland Rumple, Robert Thrasher, Merlin Thrasher, Wendolin Keuhn, Lowell Thrasher and James Wray, all nephews of Mrs. Koontz. The flower bearers are Ruby Smith, Jane Tremor, Mary Stanger, Lola Thrasher, Alice Jane Adams and Louise Martin.
