Marie J. Lorrigan, 81, of River Wood Estates, Manitowoc, joined her husband Charlie in Heaven on Sunday morning, July 16, 2006. Marie died at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County with her family at her side.

The former Marie Kopidlansky was born June 2, 1925, in the township of Franklin, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Sauer Kopidlansky. She grew up in the Town of Franklin and was a graduate of East De Pere High School. On September 25, 1948, Marie was married to Charles E. Lorrigan at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Charles preceded her in death on May 21, 2006. The couple farmed in the Maple Grove area later moving to Branch and then to Manitowoc. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Manitowoc, the Branch Homemakers, former member of the Holy Innocents Christian Women, and a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Maple Grove.

Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Nancy (Jerry) Herrmann, of Manitowoc; Barbara (Tom) Herrmann, of Manitowoc; Patti (Jeff) Sears, of Appleton; Betty (Rick) Novy, of Appleton; Bill (Barb) Lorrigan, of Reedsville; Jean (Keith) Puls, of Sheboygan; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild due in September, Tammy Herrmann; Tracy (Dick) Lewis and their twin daughters, Claire and Grace; Alison Herrmann; Sara (Paul) Kinsella and their daughter, Kaitlynn; Erica Herrmann; Mallory Sears; Michael (Amanda) Novy; Elizabeth Novy; Jessica (Curtis) Schoonover and their child due in September; Ryan Lorrigan; Bridgette Lorrigan; Owen Puls; Lorrigan Puls; one sister, Viola Vogel, of Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law, Danny Lorrigan, of Two Rivers; and Joe Schamburek, of Whitelaw; three sisters-in-law, Daisy Schambureck, of Manitowoc; Edna Larsen, of Bellevue; and Bernece Krejcarek, of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie; four sisters-in-law, Elaine Lorrigan; Mayella Lorrigan; Alice Taddy; and Devota Schamburek; six brothers-in-law: Joe Vogel; Richard Lorrigan; Leonard Taddy; John Schambureck; Ernie Larsen; and Lester Krejcarek; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Elizabeth Lorrigan.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Jens Family Funeral Home, 1122 S. 8th St., Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi-Waldo Blvd. site. The Rev. Gerald Foley will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy 310 Manitowoc.

Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Manitowoc on Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Dave Pleier.
