Zipperer, Barbara A.

Barbara A. Zipperer, age 70, of 13712 County Road JJ, Cato, entered eternal life on Tuesday Evening, June 2, 2015 at University Hospital in Madison.

Barbara was born on February 2, 1945 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of Evelyn Leonowicz Kohlman and the late Paul Kohlman. Barbara attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1963. She had been employed with Cher Make Sausage Company from where she retired in May 2007. On May 21, 1966 she married Douglas B. Zipperer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Barbara was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society and also volunteered at the Manitowoc County Historical Society and the Lester Library in Two Rivers.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years: Douglas; four children: Rhonda (James) Van Iten, Chandler, AZ; Ronald (Cary) Zipperer, Clinton, UT; Shane (Cara) Zipperer, Francis Creek; Jason (Susan) Zipperer, Two Rivers; her mother: Evelyn Kohlman, Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren: Morgan, Brendan, Zachary, Yukon, David, Bernard, Roger, Jason, Mydasia, Samantha, and Bradford; four brothers: Paul (Cathie) Kohlman, Manitowoc; Jerry (Bonnie) Kohlman, Dousman; Dan (Robin) Kohlman, Manitowoc; Pat (Beth) Kohlman, Bull Head Lake; two sisters: Linda (John) Bender, Manitowoc; Sara (Dan) Franz, Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Judith Schnell, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Paul Kohlman, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bernard and Anne Zipperer; brother-in-law: Harland Schnell.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall-1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
