She spent most of her life on the farm, where she spent endless hours laboring to provide for her family’s needs. Even with all the farm work she still was able to be the best mother to her children that any of us could ask for. Through the years, Bea opened her home to several foster children who needed help and some extra love to hold them over until their life could be put back on track or in some cases, new loving parents could be found for them.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall C. England; her daughter, Patsy; and two brothers, RC and Kenneth Morgan.
She is survived by two sons, Jim England of Gretna and Tommy England of Dillwyn, Va.; two stepsons, Marshall England Jr. of Tennessee, and Bill England of Dillwyn; two foster daughters, Carolyn Angus of Amherst and Belle McCormick of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister, Dorothy Hurst of Maryville; a brother, James Morgan of Maryville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, with interment in the Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont.
