The Angel of Silence entered into her life Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Twilight Home. Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 2105 East Jones Avenue with Pastor Alfred Cox Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ross and Johnson Mortuary.
Margaret Johnson was born March 29, 1949 in Eureka, Texas to the parentage of Mr. Fred Douglas Johnson and Mrs. Arnetha Banks Johnson. She received her formal education at the G. W. Jackson School and professed a faith in Christ and united with the Taylor Memorial Church of God in Christ later in life she united with the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Margaret loved to cook, she would feed the hungry no matter who they were, she enjoyed singing and gardening. Margaret was the best mother to her children and a longtime caregiver 24-7 to her daughter, Tanjala and never complained about what she was doing.
Margaret met Buster Joe Donaldson and shared three children. He preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Evelinda Daniels, Mae Ella, Lue Ella Cole and J. W. Johnson.
Survivors: Three children, Pamela Butcher and husband Don, Olander Donaldson and wife Gloria, and Tanjala Johnson; Six grandchildren, Euwayne Donnell Jones, II (Jazzaire), Crystal LaShay Butcher, Brittany Nicole Butcher (Jason), Tyler Donaldson, Porcher O'shea Threadgill (Dennis "Kevin" Ricks) and LaShandra Andrews (Montray); nine great grandchildren, Euwayne III, Jacesyn, Peyton, Trinity, Dequan, Keyanna, Breanna, Jaylen and Anayah; two sisters, Ora Fay Releford and Lucille Gooden; two brothers, Willie Fred Johnson (Venita) and Johnny Lee Johnson (Dorothy) a host of other relatives and friends.
