Margaret Strum Bailey, of Roanoke, died Friday, August 18, 1995, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Bailey Jr.

Mrs. Bailey was a member of Airlee Court Baptist Church, the Hillcrest Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Round Hill Garden Club.

Surviving are her children, Charles H. Bailey and wife, Margaret, Dolores B. Rorrer and husband, Bill, LaVerne B. Dillon and husband, Bobby, all of Roanoke, James J. Bailey III and wife, Mina, Orlando, Fla.; four granddaughters, Debbie, Barbara, Kimberly, and Jamilyn; several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m., Monday, at Oakey's North Chapel by the Rev. John Hamric. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
