Ada Belyea was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, one of 11 children born to Harry Robert Belyea and Florence Parlee Belyea. The family moved to Grayson, Sask. in 1910, to Preeceville in 1915 and later homesteaded near Endeavour, Sask.
Ada married Homer E. Thompson on 25 Feb 1926 at Canora, Sask. Homer and Ada settled in the Ypres area, then moved to Reserve, Sask. for 30 years. They had 4 children; Ken, Ray, Belle and Ruby.
