Sweetwater - Services for Costella Abner, 86, will be at noon Tuesday at the Mount Rose Baptist Church with the Rev. F. K. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
She died Friday at a local hospital.
Born in Milam County, she moved to Sweetwater in 1932. She was a homemaker, a member of the Mount Rose Baptist Church and the widow of Manse Abner.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgia Goodman of Sweetwater; two sons, John L. Hunter of Houston and Manse Abner, Jr. of Dallas; four sisters, Christine Sadler of Loraine, Ethel Phea of Kerrville and Mary Drones and Cleo Staten, both of Sweetwater; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
