American Basketball Player. Rudometkin played basketball for the New York Knicks from 1962 to 1964 and the 1965 San Francisco Warriors before non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cut his career short. He had a very successful college career, playing basketball at the University of Southern California and being named consensus second-team All American in his senior year. Rudometkin was drafted by the New York Knicks in the 2nd Round of the 1962 NBA Draft and would play there until being signed as a free agent by the San Francisco Warriors in 1965. Even though he played center in college, he was moved to forward with the Knicks. In 1965 Rudometkin's career was cut short when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. After treatment, his lymphoma went into remission and he became a motivational speaker and also spent time in the real estate and ministerial areas.
