Champion Race Horse. The only horse in the history of the Grand National to win the race three times, he also ran in it two other times and was second. He ran for more than ten years in over a hundred races over fences plus a few on the flat, winning three flat races, three hurdle races, and twenty one steeplechases. He retired in 1979 but continued to make appearances at charity shows, supermarket and betting shop openings, and receiving visitors at his trainer's stable.
