PINEVILLE, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Ruby Carlisle will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Pineville, Louisiana. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carlisle, 91, of Pineville, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Tioga Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Carlisle was a member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Alexandria and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dempsy Carlisle; grandson, Richard Warren Carlisle; parents, James Bither and Alta Laura Outhouse Bither; brothers, Charles Bither, Waldo Bither, and Murrell Bither; sisters, Hazel Emmanuel, Janice Nevers, and Dorothy Jenkins.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Carlisle "Charlie" and wife, Dot and William Carlisle "Bill" and wife, Donna; a sister, Emma Libby; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.

Special thanks to the staff of Tioga Manor Nursing Home, the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice, and her three sitters for their loving care.
