Edith is the youngest daughter of Samuel and Minerva (Phillips) Seaman. She married (first) James Reese (who died), one child, Ida, who is buried next to her; (second) David Taylor, they have three children, Renwick, Lester, and Lucille. Mrs Edith Nellie Taylor, a former long time resident of El Dorodo Springs, died August 24 at Los Angeles, California, where she had lived the last year with her daughter, Mrs Luetta Lyons.

Mrs Taylor was born February 25, 1863, at Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, where she spent her early life. She moved in the early seventies with her parents to Kansas City, Kansas, where she was married in 1888 to James R Reese of Grofton, West Virginia. To this union one daughter was born, Ida, who died in 1932. Two years later Mr Reese's death occurred.

In 1893 she was married to David P Taylor and they were the parents of three children, Rennie Taylor, who died in 1937, Lester Taylor, now of El Dorado Springs, and Lucille Lyons, of Los Angeles. Mr Taylor died in 1916.

After her husband's death Mrs Taylor spent much of her time visiting with her children and grandchildren. She had twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at the Gwinn-Carothers funeral home in this city, Reverend Loyd Means, pastor of the Christian church, officiating. Burial was in the El Dorado Springs cemetery.
