Life's Work/Service/Interests: She is the mother of one son, Jeff, whom she loves dearly. After 34 years, Phyllis retired from Brigham Young University as the Community Relations Manager in May 2015, where she worked with and developed many dear friends. Phyllis lived a life of service and loved being involved in the community and in her church. She enjoyed volunteering with the United Way and served on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Business Alliance (Downtown Provo, Inc.) as well as on the boards of the Community Action Services, the Food Bank and the local Ministerial Association. She also served in many different LDS Church callings including an instructor and serving in her ward and stake Relief Society presidencies. Phyllis Davis Jensen, of Provo, Utah, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 7, 2015, of complications from a short illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was 69.
Survived By: Her son, Jeff (Deja) Jensen, of Centerville; and his four stepchildren: Ian, Travis, Madison and Grace; mother, Beverly Davis, of Salem; five siblings: Janean (Paul) Collins, of Provo; Lynn (Gloria) Davis, of St. George; Kathy (Keith) Barton, of Provo; Roger (Ann) Davis, of Perry; and Kurt (Vickie) Davis, of Salem.
Preceded In Death By: Her father.
