He was born in Beaufort County and was a graduate of St. Helena High School. He lived in Omaha, Neb., for many years before returning to South Carolina. He was a retired long-distance truck driver who worked in Omaha for more than 20 years.
SURVIVORS: a son, Jeffrey Greene of Fairmont, N.C.; four sisters, Dorothy Small of Atlanta, Rose and Mary Green, both of Burton, and Sarah Mungin of Omaha; three brothers, Jerry, Freddie and Chris Green, all of Burton; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
