Her first marriage was to Lemuel Russell before 1800 in NC. They had a son, Lemuel Russell, Jr (he moved to IL with his mother & step father).
Margaret second married Jesse Sawyer in NC, before 1811. Jesse & Margaret had 4 children, Jacob 1811 NC - 1880 IL, Mark 1813 NC -1884 OR, Jordan b. 1815-21 NC - d. 1850 OR, Enoch 1816 NC - 1887 IL.
In 1831 the Sawyers and the Forbes families left Currituck Co, NC. After a 5 month wagon 1100 mile trip they arrived in Marshall Co, IL.
