Mr. Lundborg, a native of Mardshyttan, Sweden, was born on March 8, 1875. As a boy of 12, he emigrated with his parents, Peter and Maria Lundborg, from Sweden and settled in Beresford, S.D. The elder Lundborgs were known as Peter Person and Maria Erson in Sweden.
In 1903, he married the former Emma A. Vigell. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in Helena on May 31, 1953. Mrs. Lundborg died here in December, 1962.
Mr. Lundborg started his business career with the operation of shoe stores in Beresford and Redfield, S.D. He later established a general store in Alpena, S.D., which he owned and operated for 35 years.
He began his association with Lundy's Food Center soon after his arrival in Helena in 1940. Since that time he has been a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Elsie Lundborg of Helena: four sons, Elmer, Oliver, and Albert Lundborg, all of Helena; Rudolph of Townsend; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Evangelical Covanent Church. The Rev. Raymond Bozman will officiate. Interment will be in Forestvale Cemetery.
