Maude was born in Covina, California, the first child of Van Charles Lutzow and Elsie Jane Bryant. She married Thomas Lloyd Harvey, and they lived in various cities in California before settling in Miranda in 1952.
Before ill health forced her to retire, Maude worked as a legal secretary. She passed away in a Eureka hospital after an illness of several months.
Survivors besides her husband included two sons, Van Elwood Harvey of Miranda and Wayne Lloyd Harvey of Whittier; a daughter, Miss Linda Helen Harvey of Miranda; a sister, Mrs. Helen Bourne of Whittier; and five brothers: Ralph, Hubert, Wilbur, Marvin, and Kenneth Lutzow.
