Earline Allen Coghill, 78, of Cape Charles, formerly of Greenville, North Carolina, passed away Thursday July 20, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Va. A native of Pitt County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William George Allen and the late Bessie Stokes Allen. She was a bookkeeper for many years and retired as cafeteria manager for Pitt County School System. She was a member of Red Oak Christian Church, Past Senior Regent, and a member of Greenville Women of the Moose. She is survived by two children, Gwendolyn K. Coghill and her husband Granville Hogg of Cape Charles, Va. and William Thomas Coghill, Jr. and his wife Linn of Richmond,, Va., a sister, Ida Lynn Thigpen of Greenville, N.C. and three grandchildren, Andrew Michael Coghill of Richmond, Va., Jennifer L. Hogg of Charlottesville, Va. and Matthew G. Hogg of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Coghill was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Ann Coghill. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday July 23, 2006 at 2:00 pm at S.U. Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Greenville, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life, c/o Susan Gibb, P.O.
