Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Petrie Farris, 92, of Thomasville, NC, died on August 17, 2015 at NH Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Born on October 4, 1922 in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter to Ethel Olive Hughston Petrie Morgan & Wilford Carl Petrie.
She was a department supervisor at AT&T Communications. Rebecca was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luther (Larry) N. Farris, a step-son Johnny Farris, sisters, Marion Petrie and Ellen Petrie Spencer, and a niece Betty Petrie Erickson.
Rebecca is survived by brothers, Wilford Carl Petrie and David Hughston Morgan, a niece Marguerite S. Fowler, nephews, Kenneth, Raymond & W. C. Petrie and other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held during the 11:00 am worship service at First Presbyterian Church, 21 Randolph St., Thomasville, NC on September 6, 2015. Reverend Jennie L. Hemrick will be officiating. Thomasville Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Rebecca's final resting place will be with her husband at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
