Karen is survived by her mother, Ada Joseph Sangid, and her husband, Ed Boyles. She was a graduate of Charleston (WV) High School and Marshall University. She retired in 2004 after 33 years of teaching at Clermont County, OH, Shoals Elementary and Kanawha City Elementary Schools, WV where she enriched the lives of all who knew her.
