At the age of 26, he moved to Scotland and about this time he was married to Miss Sarah McGinnis, who died in 1883. Four children, two boys and two girls, came to bless their home, all of whom are still living, and all reside in the United States.
Mr. Montague came to the United States in 1889 and has been engaged in mining and other business. Almost every year he visited his son James, in this city, and spent a few weeks fishing in the Kankakee river, and became acquainted with many of our people.
He was buried at Coxville, Ind., and not only his children, but a host of friends mourn his departure.
