OBIT: Betty M. Shaffer

Betty M. Shaffer, age 62, of Rural Valley, PA, died on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Kittanning Care Center.

She was born on May 24, 1947, in Kittanning, PA, to Roy F. and Clara D. (Reefer) Kaufman.

Betty was a 1965 graduate of Elderton High School. She worked for GAB as a secretary for twenty-two years until her retirement in 2000. In her leisure time, Betty enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting, and listening to the Gaither Brothers. She loved her cat, Princess.

She is survived by her two sons, Jim and Bob McCausland of Dayton, PA; one grandchild, Katelyn D. Bruner; a brother, Ron Kaufman and wife Sally of Rural Valley, PA; and two sisters, Marie Boyer of New Bethlehem, PA, and Helen Milliron of Elderton, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

At the request of the family, services will be private.
