He served his country in Vietnam, 1966 and 1968, with the U.S. Army. He was a part of the 502d Battalion, 101st Airborne. After that he had a lengthy career with the Michigan National Guard. He was both a soldier and a full time technician. He retired in 2004. After that he became a part of the VFW 1008, in Waterford. He served as Adjutant, Captain of the Honor Guard, and he fixed things there for many years.
The interment took place on 09-03-2015, with full honors performed by the VFW 1008 of Waterford. Arrangements by Coats Funeral Home, also located in Waterford.
