Mrs. Wencel Ziarnik, 69, of 1134 S. 20th St., lifelong resident of Manitowoc, died Sunday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a cerebral hemorrhage which she suffered at her home late in the afternoon.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Mary Nitka in Manitowoc, Dec. 3, 1888, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Niespodziany Nitka. Mrs. Ziarnik was married Nov. 9, 1908, in Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Chester, a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Armbruster, three brothers, John, Joseph and Michael, three sisters, Mrs. Felix Maranda, Mrs. Agnes Schultz and Mrs. Matt Lambries, and four grandchildren of Manitowoc. A brother, Ted, preceded her in death in February.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
