She graduated from Henry County Training School and attended Barber Scotia College in Concord, N.C. She was a life long member of Grace Presbyterian Church, serving on the Deacon, Usher and Missionary Boards. She worked as a Seamstress, and a Quality Control Supervisor at Hampco Apparel of Martinsville for over 40 years.
Edith is survived by four sons, Rev. Grady L. (Teresa) Belcher, Jr., of Cascade, Va., Stanley R. (Gwen) Belcher, of Manassas, Va., Dwain D. Belcher and Malcolm T. Belcher, of Martinsville, Va.; three sisters, Edna Lee and Christine Fuller, of New Rochelle, N.Y. and Willie Yellock, of Martinsville; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on Thursday September 3, 2015 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Martinsville. Interment Carver Memorial Gardens.
