Vellozzi, Salvatore
Salvatore Vellozzi, native of Italy and resident of Maplewood for the greater part of his life, died Friday night at Troy Hospital following a short illness. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Besides his wife, who was formerly Miss Angela DiMio, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Rainville of Cohoes and Miss Mary Vellozzi of Maplewood, five sons, Jack Vellozzi of Cohoes and John, Louis, Thomas and Salvatore Vellozzi, jr.; two step-sons, Cornelius and John Tommassini and a brother, Anthony Vellozzi, all of Maplewood. The funeral will be held today at 9 a.m. from the residence, 2 East Canal Street and at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Waterford.
