Betsy Ronnie was born at Mindoro, Wisconsin, February 28, 189'. She came to Hannaford, North Dakota in 1912 and was married to Charlie Kjelgaard in 1915. They farmed in the Hannaford community and Mr. Kjelgaard served a term as sheriff of Griggs county. He died in 1950. She later moved to San Diego, where she has made her home the past few years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Warren (Karen) Lundeen, Hannaford, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Landers, Spring Valley, California, and Mrs. William (Marian) Sloan, Lakeside, California, one son, Orlie Kjelgaard, Portland, Oregon, one sister, Mrs. Jennie Ellingworth, Minneapolis, Minnesota and one brother, Johnny Ronnie, Holmen, Wisconsin, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
