Celia A Cumbie was the daughter of Andrew Judson Cumbie Jr and Rejoiner C Malloy, (her name may have been Bethena Caroline Malloy and Rejoiner could have been a nick name.

**There are no many variations of years of birth, month of birth, etc. These can be found on censuses and her death certificate.

She first married John Offie Everett V Bass, known as Everett. They were married about 1889, as their daughter, Emily Bass, was born on May 19, 1890. Place of marriage is unknown. The marriage was annulled in Alachua County, Florida on July 15, 1901. They were separated during the 1900 census.

Variations of Birth:
1880 Census in Ochlockonee, Thomas, Georgia, she was 8 years old.
1900 Census in Pleasant Hill, Jackson, Florida, shows she was born in September 1871 - Living with her Sister Michel and her family.
1910 Census in Mitchell, Georgia, she was born abt 1871 (39 yrs old) and was now remarried to M F Parrish (Mack Franklin) and had one son - Maxie Dell Parrish (listed as girl, but is a boy).

1920 census in Parramore, Jackson, Florida, dated Jan 19, she is now married to Ira Bradford Sadler, and Mack Parrish's two sons with Celia are listed in Census. Not sure if they were married in Georgia or Florida, but the census lists him as owning his farm. Celia was age 27 and being born in 1893.

March 22, 1941, she married James Jackson Conner in Hillsborough County, Florida. This has been verified by a copy of marriage application and certificate.

******************Death Certificate********

Celia died on July 23, 1954, in Pelham, Mitchell Co, Georgia in the Mitchell County Hospital. She lived at Rt 2, Cornellia, GA. The informant was Allen Parrish, of Thomasville, Georgia, who lists himself as her son. (The only two sons were Maxi Dell Parrish and Odell Parrish - unless Odell is also known as Allen). Allen listed her as age, 89, and born in November 1864. It also shows her father was Judson Cumbie, but her mother's maiden name is UNKNOWN.

She was buried in the Pelham Cemetery on 7/25/1954.

*****Her Birth date appears to be incorrect, as the 1900 census has Sep 1871 and would have been given by Celia herself or her sister, Michel.

I, Joye Woodall, reviewed the listing of the Pelham Cemetery, based on a survey made in 2001 and Celia's gave is not listed. She may be buried in an unmarked grave.
