A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, she was a LVN nurse at Memorial Medical Hospital and prior with the Hearth Nursing Home. Nellie was a member of the Guadalupanas. As a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, Nellie will be remembered for her strong faith and love for her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Beatrice Alvarez.
She is survived by her brother, Jose Alvarez, and niece, Diana Rae Alvarez.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday September 5, 2015, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church St. Jude Sanctuary .
Cremation to follow.
