Oliver Donald Ross, age 85 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 06, 2015. He was born December 05, 1929 in Saginaw, Alabama to the late O.B. Ross and Maybelle Logan Ross. He was a trade school graduate and retired from Sony Music after having worked as a supervisor for many years with the company. He was an avid junker who was always stopping at garage sales or any building that sold junk. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and was their hero. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 39 years, Syble Wade Ross of Carrollton; his children, Wayne Ross (Shirley) of Millbrook, AL, Monte Ross (Kathy) of Mableton, GA, Randy Wortham of Carrollton, Renee Janovec (Leonard) of Norfolk, NE, and Randy Wortham of Carrollton, GA; three brothers, Gene Ross, Ralph Ross, and Doug Ross; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 09, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Alvin Hunnicutt officiating. Music will be rendered by Donnie Muse. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Chad Ross, Corey Ross, Cody Ross, Tim Shelnut, Tom Stassy, and Brian Chase.
