William E. Wagenschein, 82, of 309 Del Mar, died at 7:20 a.m. today in a local hospital.
A native of Gillett, Texas, he had lived here since 1929 and was the retired manager of Schumacher Wholesale Grocery Co. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 40-year member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Lucille; one daughter, Mrs. Norman A. Kennan of Edgartown, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. D.O. Mahaffey of Houston; one brother, C.F. Wagenschein of Falfurrias, and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Currie, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mission Burial Park in San Antonio under the direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Home.
