Lucille K. Wagenschein, a native of San Antonio, Texas, has passed away at the age of 99 years.
She was the daughter of Andrew Kroeger and Anna Eisenhauer Kroeger. Lucille graduated from Brackenridge High School, and after working several years she met and married William E. Wagenschein of Falfurrias, Texas and Corpus Christi, Texas. Lucille lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for many years where her husband was in the grocery and apartment business. About 30 years ago, she moved back to San Antonio, Texas, to help care for her elderly mother. For the past 12 years, Lucille and her sister, Helen K. Giles, resided at Morningside Manor.
They were inseparable companions until Helen passed away last year.
Lucille was a very vivacious person who loved people and participated in many charities and other activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, her parents and her grandsons, Ian and Joshua Kennan. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Lucille Wagenschein of Sacrameto, California; her niece, Miriam Wagenschein of Corpus Christi, Texas; her cousins, Dorothy M. Lang, Bonnie and Carl Lang, Carole and Alton Ricks, Del Wurzbach and their respective families.
The family would like to thank Morningside Manor for their excellent care and kindness.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M, Thursday, April 25, 2002 at Christ Lutheran Church, 6720 Broadway, San Antonio, TX 78209.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Mission Burial Park South.
