Lillian Opal Fehlberg, 82, 432 Fourth Avenue East, Kalispell, died at her home Saturday morning.

A daughter of Thomas and Martha Alexander Lacher, she was born April 26, 1898 near Kalispell. She received her elementary and high school education in Kalispell and then attended Montana State University in Bozeman.

In 1920 she married Erick L. Fehlberg in Kalispell. He preceded her in death in 1934. Mrs. Fehlberg was employed as a bookkeeper by various retail establishments in Kalispell until her retirement.

She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, past president of the DAV auxiliary, past president and secretary of 40 et 8, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion auxiliaries.

Mrs. Fehlberg is survived by one son, Erick L, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Catherine Keith, Kalispell; four grandchildren, including Steven Fehlberg, Kalispell; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
