Earlene Lane Barbeau, of Houston, and formerly of the San Francisco, California, Bay Area, passed away on Saturday, the 12th of September 2015.

Earlene was born on the 2nd of November 1924, to Asa and Irene Holland Lane, of San Jose, California.

She was delivered by her father on the way to the hospital.

Earlene grew up at The Sunny Lane Ranch, alongside the Sacramento River, where he father raised show horses.

Later, during World War II, she was employed by the Pacific Theater.

Earlene was married to her beloved husband, Jay Aubin Barbeau for thirty-four years, before his passing in 1987.

While married, they lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sacramento, California, San Rafael, California, and Houston.

Earlene was a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, where she was a Stephen Minister Leader.

She also spent many years as an accomplished painter.

After her husband's death, Earlene started a new life working as Executive Assistant to Robert H. Allen, where she worked for eighteen years until she retired.

She served as the World Executives Associations' first Treasurer.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband; and two sons, Terry Louis Barbeau and Randal Lane Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Patti-Jay Allender and her husband John; and her grandchildren, Ryan Edward Gunter, Sean, Shannon, and Sydney Barbeau, and Daniel and Jannick Barbeau.

A memorial service will be held at half-past one o'clock in the afternoon, on Wednesday, the 16th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, in Houston.

Prior to the service, the family will gather for a private graveside service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House Houston, www.rmhhouston.org.
