Mr. Chism, a concrete finisher, died last Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Chicago.
He was married to Edna Chism of Toone. They had 10 children, Joseph Chism, Ulysses Chism and Nellie Chism, all of Toone, Helen Peoples, Joyce Stewart, Eva Anderson, Diane Jordan and Glenda Spinks, all of Milan, and Steven Bobbitt and Ernestine Culver, both of Washington, D.C.
He had four brothers, Jimmie Chism, of Jackson, Walter Chism and Alvin Chism, both of Louisville, Ky., and the Rev. L.C. Chism of Paducah, Ky. He had six sisters, Elizabeth Williamson and Nezzie B. Ellison, both of Jackson, Imogene Taylor of Toone, Mary Studdard of Louisville, Lura B. Johnson of Chicago and Levertha Neely of Joliet, Ill.
